Regional Park Information
From Auckland Regional Parks
Important information regarding our use of Duders & Omana Regional Parks.
Auckland Regional Parks have asked us to pass on the following important information to participants:
- All participants must come in with clean footwear to prevent the spread of Kauri Die Back disease.
- Dotterals may still be nesting in the foreshore paddocks along Umupuia Beach. Please be aware of the potential presence of these birds, minimise noise in this area and avoid any areas roped off.
- Note that the park is not closed for the duration of the event and you may encounter other park users during the event, who should be treated with respect and given time and space to pass.
- Do not drop rubbish within the parks. Hold until the next aid station and pop it in the bin there.
- The parks are a sensitive natural environment and all care should be taken to protect the environment. Do not introduce or remove any plant or soil matter into the park.
- You MUST stick to the track at all times.
- There are poison bait stations near the tracks. Bait stations must not be interfered with.
